A1: Yes, because our kombucha contains live cultures, it must be stored in the fridge to maintain its taste and probiotic benefits.
Q2: Is there any alcohol in this drink?
A2: Our kombucha is classified as non-alcoholic. While a tiny trace amount can occur naturally during fermentation, it is always below 0.5% ABV.
Q3: Can I drink this if I am sensitive to caffeine?
A3: While brewed with green tea, most of the caffeine is consumed during the fermentation process, leaving only a very small amount, it is much less than a cup of tea.
Q4: Does this drink contain much sugar?
A4: While sugar is necessary to feed the kombucha culture during fermentation, most of it is consumed by the yeast and bacteria during our 21-day brewing process. The result is a low sugar beverage that gets its subtle sweetness from real organic mango and passionfruit.
Q5: Is this kombucha pasteurized?
A5: No! We never pasteurize our drinks because that would kill the beneficial live probiotics that make SilAlchemy so good for your gut.
